Welcome
Excerpts from one ordinary person's life.
I got hurt at work. Just a minor boo-boo. It prevents me from typing well though. I was working on a machine part while the guy on the machine across from me was getting a freshly made roll of cloth off his machine. I heard him say "eeEE!" and heard the roll hit the floor! I busted out laughing! "Pedro, where's your cart?" I hollered. He just looked around to see if anyone could give him a hand. He said he didn't realize it wasn't there. {huh? you drop your roll onto it when it's right in front of you, not onto the floor silly!} I was laughing so hard, I didn't realize my right hand was impaled on the machine by a set of weft needles. I couldn't move my right hand, and looked to see why. I then realized I was impaled. Now, folks, you know when the wound doesn't hurt right away, it's a bad one. I ripped my hand away, to see I was impaled in the center of my fingernail right through my middle finger. Nice. I finished fixing that machine part anyway as it was the end of the night, and it had to be fixed before leaving. While my trainee stood there in awe of me not running and screaming. I didn't get any blood on the cloth at all. Damn I'm good. I then let him take the helm so I could get it bandaged up. Stupid band aids don't stick for shit. Now I am home, doing the hunt and peck typing. I have it rebandaged, with self sticking gauze wrapped on it to keep the band aids from falling off of it. I put some neosporin on it, that burned a bit, My poor finger is throbbing to beat the band.
This will take a while to heal as the hole in my fingernail is pretty deep. I did manage to sell more of those raffle tickets though. That was a good thing.
I am hungry and need to rustle up something to eat.
Nite all.

Whew, headache. Woke up with it. Sheesh. Will be taking tylenol with the morning coffee. {the breakfast of champions}
I picked up a new Lexmark printer from my friend Dollar Bill Bill. $25.00 I can pay to him on Fryday when I get to work. Thank you my friend. :) This older HP is squeaking and squaking and not working so hot anymore. I will be checking it out later to see if it will work with my little emachine here. If not, I will return it to my friend.
Delivered last blanket order, that guy will pay me on Fryday as well. He better anyway. LOL!
Everyone have a great day.

Work has been running me ragged the past two weeks. They have been pushing us all there. My lower back is very sore, and I am just dog tired. Alot of us there are tired out because of it. One of hte guys I work with could barely keep himself going all night last night. I know they want the production, but damn. Now they are going to move a few of the team aids to day shift. I have seen this happen before. It makes room for more new hires on the night shift. In between the time they take our team aids, and hire new, we suffer without any team aids. These guys are essential for us machine people. They give us a hand in a big way. This will slow us down for sure now. Although it does separate the men from the boys as far as the day shift bosses are concerned. It gives the bosses a chance to evaluate the team aids, and weed out the ones they don't feel are up to snuff.
I have really been enjoying this nice cool weather. I love the cool night air. It's so crisp and clean. There was a spectacular sunset last night. Working on the 5th floor has that advantage. We have a great view of the valley in all directions.
We are having that yard sale again this weekend. Both Sat. and Sun. from 8 am to whenever. It's depression glass, 1940's Singer sewing machine in great shape, Wurlitzer upright spinet piano that needs tuning, good for church group, school, teaching music, or if a family member plays, odds/ends, power tools, just plain stuff. It's at J's mom's place in Amsterdam, off of upper Locust Ave., right onto Ellsworth St., follow the signs.
Everyone have a good day.
Here's the infant blanket I made up on eBay if anyone is interested.
