Excerpts from one ordinary person's life.

yesterday before leaving for work. This is the bleeding heart in the side garden. The one in the front garden is also blooming despite dry conditions. :) We are supposed to get some rain today, maybe.



It hasn't grown to it's fullness yet. I was surprised it's blooming a few weeks early. This early heat may be the cause.

I was laughing a bit at work last night. I tried to warn the new girl that it would get awfully hot up on the 5th floor last Thursday. She told me she is from the tropics, and loves the heat and humidity. Whatever. Well, last night she was complaining to high heaven about how hot it is to work up there. LOL! Yeah, no kidding! Miss, "i'm from the tropics...". Geez.

It was only 80 up there. That's nothing compared to what it will get. We eventually will have a few days when it's above 100 up there. I have a fan on my workbench, and I drink lots of water and take frequent breaks, and take my time so I don't get heat stroke. These new folks will have to learn the same. I do keep my eye on them in case one of them faints.

As for other stuff, there really is nothing else. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Really, there aren't that many cases here in the US yet. Yet, they have called a medical emergency? If this flu is not all that bad, then why the medical emergency? Folks are going to start to panic due to all the media hype.

Wash hands, yep, do anyway. I even carry around a Purell on a keychain.
Stay away from those who are sick, yup, do my best to anyway. But when we don't get sick time at work, and one of the guys is sick, we all get it anyway.

What's your take on this Swine Flu thing?

I took J and his mom up to Hannaford. Spent about 45 minutes in the car waiting for them to come back out. It was hot. I got back and went back to sleep for about two hours. The heat just kills me.
I spent more outdoor time with Biscuit on the patio. J made ribs and fries. Yum. While I slept I could smell it cooking. I thought the neighbors smelled good and they were cooking outside. LOL, silly me! It was us that smelled good.

I also found one of the yellow onions in the kitchen had sprouted. It grew two inches tall from the top. So I took it outside, dug a hole, and planted it. :) I have never grown a yellow onion before. Do I have to do anything special for it?

Seriously.

I never knew anyone with so much "stuff" as J's mother. Even though she shold off a bunch of it, it looks like she didn't sell anything because she has so much of it left. We couldn't drag everything out there. {need dumpster} I faired a bit better today but just a bit.

It's in the 80's here today. Something we haven't had since last year. :) My face is sunburnt. I am hot and tired. I am not used to it. We went from 40's to 80's overnight

I went to the deli and picked up some ham salad and potato salad. I also got chocolate moose tracks for dessert! I love ice cream, year round. It could be below zero in January and I will eat ice cream.
