When the Union President came back in from his little vacation day off, he blew his stack. Yes, they did fire those guys illegally. The company was forced to hire them all back. technically, they can sue for the one days pay they lost because of it. Apparently our new company president doesn't really understand the union contract, so she was in the office getting educated about it. :)

I took this pic last night of the noisy neighbor's house next door. He did a nice job of it, and I thought I'd share it with all of you.



We have 3 inches of snow, and now the ice is coming down. The drive is shovelled, and the walkway. I also salted as the ice started falling to prevent it from sticking. All while trying to have morning coffee, and waking up.

The streets are a mess, no surprise there.

Do I have something for you here?

My friend Christy has no family to do Christmas. She told me she doesn't celebrate it. I got her a hair clip from the lady in etsy who makes really pretty ones. It arrived last night. I wrapped it for her, and will give it to her on Christmas Eve at work. This way she has a nice gift to open too. :)

I would like to take a moment out to say thank you to catwoman2704  for sending me that lovely Christmas card. Thank you! It's beautiful! I will save that as well. You see, I have no real family to celebrate either with. Most of the time, I was alone on Christmas and it was a very depressing time for me. I don't get gifts, not even from J who is out of work 90% of the time so he never has any money for a gift. I never got cards except from the lady I call my "Ma". To me it was just a day off from work to rest. I would just sleep it away, trying to forget it. With J I make a nice lasagne dinner, watch TV, work on craft projects, or surf the net. That's Christmas for me. Getting cards from folks makes it special to me. I will treasure the card forever in the special place I keep all my keepsakes, my keepsake drawer in my filing cabinet. Where I know where it is, and I can take it out and look at it from time to time like I do with all my special treasures. Thank you hun. :)

The ax is falling at work. 4 men have been fired. 3 of the four deserved it, one did not. They waited until the Union President was on a vacation day to do it, and they all got fired for things they did months ago. To me this is wrong. If they waited months to fire these guys, they could have waited another 2 weeks until after Christmas. One has a newborn child that is 2 months old and a three year old. Cold hearted bastards.

I warned them all 5 months ago when the company went on a hiring spree. I have seen it before there. They hire a bunch of new guys, then once they are trained the regulars who are screw ups get replaced, and the company cleans house. None of them took me seriously. They are taking me seriously now. There are a couple more heads on the chopping bock. At least 5 more may go. I wish them all luck and hope they all find new jobs soon. In this market times are hard, very hard. I am making sure I look like a shiny new dime at work. That's for sure.
When I asked if I was one that will be out the door too, I was told no. I will be staying. I don't believe management's word though, I know better, so I am looking pretty good at work, and doing what I am supposed to do no matter what.

I have the runs. Damn. TIme for some Imodium.

On top of that, there is another storm coming. I hate snow and ice.

Here's a couple new pics. I found us a Christmas tree that will fit in this house. It sits on my filing cabinet, the only clean surface in here. LOL! {seriously...it's not my place, if it were it'd be much cleaner} I told J and his mother to look there on Christmas morning.
