Welcome
I took this pic last night of the noisy neighbor's house next door. He did a nice job of it, and I thought I'd share it with all of you.
We have 3 inches of snow, and now the ice is coming down. The drive is shovelled, and the walkway. I also salted as the ice started falling to prevent it from sticking. All while trying to have morning coffee, and waking up.
The streets are a mess, no surprise there.
Take care folks. Drive easy.

I would like to take a moment out to say thank you to
Here's a pic of that card.
It's a little out of focus though. I'm not the greatest with a camera. LOL @ me!
The ax is falling at work. 4 men have been fired. 3 of the four deserved it, one did not. They waited until the Union President was on a vacation day to do it, and they all got fired for things they did months ago. To me this is wrong. If they waited months to fire these guys, they could have waited another 2 weeks until after Christmas. One has a newborn child that is 2 months old and a three year old. Cold hearted bastards.
I warned them all 5 months ago when the company went on a hiring spree. I have seen it before there. They hire a bunch of new guys, then once they are trained the regulars who are screw ups get replaced, and the company cleans house. None of them took me seriously. They are taking me seriously now. There are a couple more heads on the chopping bock. At least 5 more may go. I wish them all luck and hope they all find new jobs soon. In this market times are hard, very hard. I am making sure I look like a shiny new dime at work. That's for sure.
When I asked if I was one that will be out the door too, I was told no. I will be staying. I don't believe management's word though, I know better, so I am looking pretty good at work, and doing what I am supposed to do no matter what.
I have the runs. Damn. TIme for some Imodium.
On top of that, there is another storm coming. I hate snow and ice.
Everyone have a good day.

Thank you! I love it! This was handmade for me. I came home from work, J said, "I think you got a Christmas card from halfway around the world." I looked, and I certainly did! This is a lovely card. A beautiful picture of a historical building, and inside, a lovely holiday message from one of my LJ friends. Thank you hun, I will keep it too. I will save it in it's envelope in my keepsake drawer of my file cabinet after the holiday has passed. The only thing, you didn't include your return address. How can I send you a card in return?
The temp outside is only 5 degrees. Everything has frozen rock hard. I couldn't get in the driveway last night because the plow came to clean the street. It plowed us in, and by the time I got home, it froze hard. I got my car stuck in it thinking I could drive over it. Wrong! J had to come out, get it unstuck, and park it side of the street. We have to try and chop that up enough for me to drive over and get intot he driveway as snow parking rules are in effect. I will get a ticket if I am on the wrong side of the street for that.
Busy day ahead. Ice chopping, cleaning up that fallen tree branch, salting, etc.
Have a good day all.
