New blanket up

holiday
I just finished that brushed acrylic throw blanket and posted it up in the esy store. It was different working with that yarn, I'd never used a brushed acrylic before. It's super soft and fuzzy like mohair. I know it's super warm too, I was roasting while making it. LOL!

We have all that rubbish from the patio bagged and out for trash. He still needs to bring in the wrought iron things. She has an iron that is solid iron. Something you'd heat on the stove to use from like the 1920's I think. Could be older than that, I don't know. It's in great shape, no rust on it at all.

The recyclements are all packed up and ready to go out on Wednesday night. They only pick that up every two weeks here now. The city can't afford to have it done every week anymore. {no big surprise there...}

I have new yarns too. I went to Joann's. I had a coupon for 40% off. The yarns I picked out were on the rack, like any other yarns. I saw no sale price tag or sign on it. When I got to the register, they scanned for a sale price though. I asked the clerk and she said that they were on sale. I told her I had no idea as there wasn't a sale price tag on the rack. I like that. She let me use the coupon for the one that wasn't on sale. The varigated fall colored yarns. I will incorporate that with hunter green for a nice harvest colored blanket. I had to ask someone in the yarn section if that's what the varigated went with. I could see the hunter green, but not all the colors of the varigated. For those of you that are new to my LJ, I am partially colorblind. It makes choosing colors that go together difficult sometimes. I have to rely on other folks to find out if certain colors match or not. I like it when things like sales and coupons work together. :)

I love my AC.

Noontime – Just got back from the errand running. Got everything needed to keep us going for another week. I got some more of that lovely eyelash yarn and a larger hook for that. That should make it easier to work with. I got a bag of jingle bells for the Christmas ornament bells I crocheted. Those will sound nice now. I have those
So far, the puggycar is functioning normally.
Having cheddar with dill pickles on wheat for a meal with water. I still need to lose about 30 more pounds before I am happy with my weight again. J
posted up here as a set of 12 ornaments. I have a nice Echinacea plant to put out in the side garden that J’s mother got. It says there are two different plants in that container, I only see the one. Maybe next spring it will come back and both plants will grow together. That would be kinda cool.
2 p.m. – I have made a nice black rainbow eyelash scarf and put it up in the etsy store. Maybe someone would like that. I have created an "Eyelash Scarves" section in there too just for those. J

I am going to head down to the deli and get myself a quick bite. It’s hot and humid out there, and I don’t want to be out too long in it.

Christmas Table Set

  • Jul. 20th, 2009 at 10:35 AM
wonderment
I have postedthis Christmas Table Set up in the etsy store. I made htis one with the "holly" yarn. This set also has matching coasters with it. I would have made matching coasters for the "Mistletoe" set I have in there, but I had run out of yarn for those. So that set is sans coasters.

I need to pick up a package of small jingle bells. I am also making ornament bells for the tree, as well as stuffed ornaments. :) Those will take time. I'd like to sell those as an entire set too. Soft ornaments are better for the bottome of the tree in case little hands decide they want to get into the tree. Better for pets too. I used to have a cat who loved to bat the ornaments toward the tree bottom, then crawl up into the middle of the tree and sit in there. She had scared me half to death one night years ago. I had come down around 3 a.m. to use the bathroom, she was in the tree. I flipped on the light and saw two little round eyes peering out from the tree, and I jumped back! LOL! It was Chia kitty, sleeping on one of the branches. Silly cat she was.

looky looky

wonderment
I tried something new and different. I made a drawstring clutch bag from dark blue ribbon. This ribbon has a silvery sheen to it, so the pic  of it isn't all that great. I added two rows of those pretty clear rainbow beads to the top of it too! I put a wrist strap on it for easy handling. I also picked up some of that nice holly yarn from the craft store. I had a coupon and thought I'd better use it otherwise it will expire. I got a tiny crochet hook for doily making too. :) {squee!} I am so happy. I love the craft store!

It has been raining a little bit here, and a little bit there. I don't think I will attempt to go to the ballgame tonight just in case it gets called on account of rain. Maybe tomorrow night's game will be better to go to.

My turn signal switch on the steering wheel of my car fnially burned out. I have signals that come on and stay steady, the blinky part no longer works. I will have to take it to the garage next week to get it fixed. In the mean time, I will have to manually flip it on and off to make it look like I have turn signals blinking. LOL! Sometimes I use the hand signals out the window, but I don't want a cop to see me doing that. Best to just flip it on and off manually until I can get it to the garage.

I have to pay the phone bill tomorrow. J is kicking in his share then, so it will get paid then. {he better, he is the one who ran it up this month}

Hope everyone is having a great day!
