A very Happy Birthday to gracedlace  ! Hope your day is great!

While I was at work last night, my cell rang. I couldn't imagine who was calling  me. It was my lawyer, the public defender from my court case. I immediately wondered what was wrong as the case was closed on Tuesday. He asked me about the money that was taken from me during my arrest. I told him it was $94.00 from my wallet, and another $120.00 from my pocket. He said that he will try and get that money back for me as I have paid the restitution in full, and really, that should have been entered into evidence on paper. I wasn't given a receipt for it, and he asked me to tell him in what manner it was taken. I told him, and who it was that took it. I also told him that there are cameras all over that jailhouse. That the act of this cop taking it had to be on video somewhere, he thought so. So someone owes me $216.00. It surprised me that a public defender would go above and beyond even after the case was over. I have always heard that public defenders get paid no matter the outcome, and most don't care either way. This one cares. That's pretty cool.

Otherwise it was a nice quiet night at work.

Today is busy day for me. Errands, bill paying, etc, like every friday goes.

I'd really like to go to the ball game tonight at the park, but they sell beer there. I have called my probation lady to ask permission so I can go. {seriously....} Even though I don't drink. I have to wait for her to call me back, as she is on lunch.
Anyhoo, while I wait, I have put a set of four assorted pot holders up in the etsy store.

I am also waiting on a delivery of yarn from someone I bought from in eBay. Once that comes, I can finish that Christmas throw blanket. :)
Time to check on the dryer and see if that load of clothes is done.

In about an hour I will be heading to the park for the ballgame. It doesn't start until seven or so, but I want to give myself enough time to walk there, and get a good seat. :) I will bring a light jacket with me so the bugs don't get me too much while I'm there.

I have been working on the Christmas ornaments I got from babeofbryan  . {thank you again hun} They are coming out nicely! I wish I had a sewing machine, they'd come out even better, and i'd get them done in no time. Hand sewing them is helping me to brush up on my hand sewing skills. :)

The neighbor right outside my sanctuary window has been busy scraping off the paint on the garage. It makes a grating noise on my ears, I hope they get that done soon. Like nails on a chalkboard all day long. Ugh.

I also have a bit of a sore throat today. I hope I am not coming down sick again. I hate summer colds.
